Bus It promote a “Safer Workplace” and in doing so require all of our employees to complete the following:

QUALITY CONTROL
Safety is constantly focused on in passenger transport today, our company has a committed goal to maintaining and servicing our buses to the highest quality. All buses are subject to a strict maintenance & inspection program carried out by the relevant specialist in the required field by qualified and experienced tradesman.
In addition to the above Bus It has implemented a policy of fleet upgrading, with 50% of buses in our fleet being less than 12 months old. These vehicles have greater safety standards built in such as, reversing cameras and anti-locking brakes Euro 4 engine compliance which is soon to be Euro 5. The introduction of the above standards further assist in reducing potential hazards for drivers and passengers alike.
MAINTENANCE PROGRAM
All buses are subject to a strict maintenance & inspection program. They are inspected daily by the drivers for tyre wear, faulty fan belts, radiator and air hoses, oil leaks, air leaks, loose fittings etc. Spare parts are carried on board to enable roadside repairs in these instances.

BREAKDOWN PREVENTATIVES
In conjunction with the maintenance program, drivers are required to carry out a daily prestart check of the vehicles, before their bus runs and a Breakdown/ Tyre changing procedure is required to be present in each bus.
Cleaning the interior of the bus is mandatory as well as washing the outside to keep a good appearance. Checking of all instruments, warning lights, alarms, and interior and exterior lighting is the responsibility of the drivers on a daily basis, and also service personnel during routine maintenance.
Windscreens are inspected daily and repaired or replaced as required. All data input for travel, fuel and maintenance are entered onto our Fleet Vehicle Record System and reports are printed on a monthly basis. These reports are a true record of our cost per klm for each job.
